How to use PLAATO Benchmarks to create the perfect beer every time
Understand how PLAATO Benchmarks can help you understand consistency and to track the fermentation in real-time
The PLAATO Benchmarks system offers a comprehensive analysis of your previously brewed batches for a specific recipe. For each batch you brew, PLAATO identifies key characteristics and properties related to density and temperature, utilizing these to construct a model known as the benchmark, which reflects the collective performance of the batches.
When brewing a new batch for a recipe with an established benchmark, the benchmark is displayed alongside the density in real-time, allowing you to assess the current batch's performance in comparison to previous ones.
This feature is instrumental in identifying fermentation issues such as extended lag phases, stale or slow fermentations, and attenuation problems. Additionally, from the recipe details page, you can access valuable statistics derived from the benchmarks, including estimated duration and estimated Final Gravity (FG).
